Laser Hair Growth Treatment
Of all the treatments available, Laser Therapy is the primary treatment for promoting new hair growth, thickening of the hair and preventing further hair loss. It is best suited to men and women who find themselves in the early stages of thinning hair or a receding hairline. A hair loss diagnosis with our Trichologist will help determine whether laser therapy would be the best option for you.
How Laser Hair Growth Works
Laser Therapy increases blood flow to the scalp to maintain hair follicles. It goes hand in hand with Optima’s high potency Minoxidil formula – a scientifically proven treatment effective in promoting hair growth. Minoxidil works by facilitating more oxygen, blood and nutrients to hair follicles, encouraging stronger hair growth.
The Laser programme also works in conjunction with our range of Trichology formulated shampoos and conditioners, alongside subtle concealment products which camouflage balding and areas of thinning hair.
The speed at which new hair growth begins and hair loss declines, varies from person to person – it depends on the individual’s own unique circumstances.

Our Laser Therapy in combination with our stimulants and bespoke instructions have provided fantastic results for hundreds of clients.
What Causes Hair Loss?
On average, people lose between 100 – 150 scalp hairs a day. What actually happens when people experience thinning hair or “hair loss” is a process called miniaturisation.
“Hair loss” occurs when the hair’s growth cycle is interrupted. In the beginning the cycle is normal, and eventually an enzyme called Dihydrotestosterone (Dee-hy-dro-tess-toss-ter-own), also known as DHT, blocks the blood flow and nutrients to the hair follicle, making it grow back finer as the follicle is constricted. Over time DHT can close off supply to the hair follicle all together and then the hair will no longer grow.
What Is DHT?
DHT is a by-product of testosterone, which is a hormone found in both men and women. Normal levels of testosterone don’t affect hair, but when it becomes DHT it attacks the hair follicles and makes hair grow more finely.
Optima’s Laser treatment in combination with scalp stimulants can reduce the amount of DHT surrounding the follicle, effectively reversing the cycle of miniaturisation and allowing you to keep your hair.
