Dear Pete,

I just wanted to say how 'blown away' I was with Optima yesterday when I accompanied Richard on a visit.  Whatever he decides is his choice but I just wanted to write and tell you how amazed I am with the product, your attitude and the phenomenal work you do for charity and children.

As a PR, sales, marketing and business development manager I was quite sceptical about the visit because I felt that the emotional and psychological areas needed to also be addressed and dealt with not just the physical aspect of hair loss.  I wrongly thought it would be a hard sell coming from people who just wanted to 'cash in on the perfect image' persona we are all too concerned with creating... I couldn't have been more wrong and for that I am sorry and even feel quite guilt ridden.

You are totally open about what you do including yourself and it's only too obvious you genuinely want to help make people feel better inside and out, which you do without a doubt.  I can honestly say I haven't met anyone for a long time with such passion, commitment, enthusiasm and human kindness.

I was totally wrong in thinking your clients would all be 'ocular' people with a lot of disposable income.

My eldest daughter did her first two years paediatric nursing at Great Ormand Street (now in her final year) so I am well aware of the determination some of these children have to muster and what courage and challenges they have to face.  I have shed a tear or two with my daughter at times.  You really are their knight in shining armour.

I was emotionally shaken (which according to some takes quite a bit!) with what you and your team are doing, it is fantastic and must be so rewarding for all concerned and fantastic to be part of, to give someone self-esteem, confidence and to look good for whatever period of time, especially the children is truly amazing.

The company, the team, your leadership and kindness should be inspiration to us all.
