Charity & Funding

We’re proud to support a number of charities close to our hearts. Some support children, others support those suffering from cancer, but they all have one thing in common: helping people when they need it most.

Here to Make it Easier

A cancer diagnosis is an understandably traumatic time for anyone. While coming to terms with the diagnosis and treatment options can be difficult, we’ve found the thoughts of many of our clients diagnosed with cancer turn to how their appearance will change physically; specifically that they may lose their hair which can add further insult to injury. Time and time again we’ve seen cancer patients of all walks of life come to us in desperate need to keep some sort of sense of normality while going through the most turbulent time of their lives – by finding a solution to their hair loss.

We understand hair isn’t the most important thing at this difficult time, but we, along with the charities we are affiliated with, are here to make it a little easier.

Funding

The Little Princess Trust

A charitable organisation which provides funding for children and young people up to the age of 24. For those whose hair loss is from cancer treatment, they can fund as many hair replacement systems as needed for the duration of their hair loss. For those whose hair loss is through Alopecia, they can provide funding for one system.

We’ve been working with The Little Princess Trust for over 10 years and have helped hundreds of children and young people over the years. We were also awarded “The Gold Standard Award” from LPT in 2019 for our continued support. Find out more about The Little Princess Trust here: https://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/

The Hayley Higginson and Sophie Edwards Trust

Founded by Andy and Lisa Edwards after their daughter Hayley sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2010 at 16 years old. Hayley came to us during her treatment and we provided her with hair systems, which she said brought a sense of normalcy into her life. After her passing, her parents decided to set up the charity to help other children in need, and after her close friend Sophie Edwards, whom she met on her cancer ward whilst undergoing treatment sadly passed away, the foundation was renamed to reflect the lives of both children. Call the Trust on 01952 402833 for more information.

Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer

Established in 2000 by Veronica Kumeta and the late Sue Macmaster after the passing of their close friend Carol Knaggs, their vision to streamline where donation funds went became a reality. Working directly with the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham, Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer has raised over £1 million which has helped fund medical equipment for the hospital. If you’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer these inspiring women will be able to guide you through it and provide funding for your hair replacement system. https://www.lfbc.org.uk/
